All Blount CARE animals are vet checked and spayed or neutered. We do require that each potential adopter complete a Pre-Adoption Interview. With each adoption, an Adoption Agreement between Blount CARE and the adopter is signed. Our adoption fees vary per animal from $100 - $ 225 * with discounts for older or harder to place animals. Adopting may involve a check with your vet and may involve a home check. These are not invasive and are merely to satisfy our requirements for animal health and safety.

We understand that not all adoptions will work out. When you adopt your animal from Blount CARE, there starts a 7 day period in which you can return the animal and receive a complete refund. If you keep the animal, Blount CARE is always available to you to discuss any issues you have with your adopted animal. The first year, we will check with you periodically to see how things are going.
