Blount County Animal Rescue Effort (Blount CARE) is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization, founded in 2000, which promotes animal welfare in Blount County, Tennessee.

Blount CARE's purpose is:

• To educate the children in Blount County to make them more aware of animal related issues so they hopefully grow up being more responsible citizens.
• To provide temporary housing for as many animals as possible and linking them up with other rescue groups or people wanting to adopt.
• To promote changes in Blount County to make it a more animal friendly environment and improve the quality of life for animals awaiting adoption.
• To promote the need for spaying and neutering pets by working with groups who already provide this service.
